LevixReader~Keeping My Promise.

Pain coursed through your body as you continued to walk forward, avoiding Titans at all cost, you were almost out of gas and your horse disappeared, so the only option for you was to walk, most people would of given up by now to live, but you had a reason, you had a reason to live than most other people, you didn't know how long it's been since the expedition went wrong. You didn't remember much, the only thing you remember is getting swatted by a Titan like a fly and then you blacked out.

You had awoken shortly after, a bit dazed but fine, now you had the painful task of walking back to the safety of the wall.

The reason for keep on going? You had a promise to keep, a promise you made to Levi and you weren't about to let your captain down.

~Flashback!~

“_____.”

“Hm?” You hummed as you turned your head to look at Levi, he would call you by your first name and you would call him by his name when you were both alone.

You were both in his office. You were sorting out folders, making sure they were neat and tidy.

“Do me one thing.”

You turned to face him, confusion written on your face.

“What?” You asked, tilting your head.

“If anything goes wrong tomorrow, live.”

“Levi?”

He looked at you as you said nothing, you weren't fazed by his gaze, you were more or less immune to it.

“Think you can do that? Think you can promise me.”

You gave a nod and then smiled. “I promise.”

You smiled at the memory as you continued on walking, limping due to the fact you either sprained or broke your ankle, you didn't know what, it had hurt at first but you got used to it now, it throbbed and ached occasionally.

You wiped your forehead and continued to walk forward, limping once in a while. You looked to the sky as the sun was beginning to slowly go down, you hoped to get there by the time the sun set.

You paused and almost let out a cry of relief as the wall finally came into view. You carried on walking towards the wall, the wall which protected humanity from the Titans for years.

'Almost there.' You thought. 'I'm almost there, I kept by promise, you better be happy when I get there.'

Erwin looked at the distance, the blonde looked at the setting sun, a young cadet approached the commander.

“Um...Sir, it's been two weeks.” He said nervously.

“I know.” The man answered. “You don't know _____, not as much as Levi and I do.”

The cadet blinked, confusion written on his face, Erwin spoke the truth, he and Levi were the only ones who could read you like a book, can tell when you were lying or when you were upset, and you knew how to do his coffee and Levi his tea, not only that but you were the strongest soldier the Recon Corps ever had.

“S-Sir?”

“She'll make it, she's a strong woman.”

'Come on _____, don't let Levi down.'

The blonde spotted something in the distance, it was a blur but it was approaching the wall, he glance to the cadet.

“Open the gate!” He ordered.

The cadet nodded and quickly ran off to do what he was told to do, it was far too small to be a Titan, it must be one of the soldiers, it must be. Erwin hoped it was you who will walk through the gate.

People gathered at the gate, curious to see who was going to walk through it, the figure became more and more clear until Erwin recognized the (h/c) hair, there was some gasps from people.

“No way!”

“She survived!?”

“What a strong woman.”

“Despite limping, she still made it.”

“How did she avoid the Titans?”

The whispers and murmurs were loud and clear. You stopped limping and gave a sloppy salute to the blonde man.

“At ease.” Erwin told you softly.

You lowered your hand, you gave a weak smile, you lifted the pressure on your damage ankle.

“Get _____ to the infirmary.” He ordered.

You squeaked as you were scooped off your feet. you looked into a pair of emerald eyes.

“Eren I can walk.” You protested

Despite you were a strong soldier, you were very light, and easy to be carried around. He ignored you  but you said nothing.

Two weeks, two damn weeks since you had gone missing, during those two weeks Levi hardly got sleep, which made him more grumpier towards others, the only thing he could do to pass the time was paperwork.

Despite people were saying you were dead (And he had to push back the urge to punch the idiots saying that.), you were alive, he hadn't given up hope, sure two weeks had passed, but thankfully Erwin declared you missing and not deceased, and your folder wasn't touched since you went missing in action, they believed in you, you made him a promise.

His door was barged open, almost causing him to choke on his tea, he glanced to see Hanji at the door.

“What do you want shitty glasses?” He asked, not amused.

“Well...You see...”

“Spit it out!” He then barked.

“_____'s alive!” Hanji squealed. “She's in the infirmary as we speak.”

Levi didn't need to hear anymore from her as he got up from his chair and immediately headed to the infirmary.

You patted a sobbing Sasha's shoulder, you had broken your ribs, fractured your ankle, dislocated your left shoulder, broke your left wrist and cut your forehead, you had a few visitors, well, all your friends.

“Sasha.” You groaned as you then patted her head.

“We were worried about you.” Christa said softly.

You gave a small grin. “I'm stronger than you think.”

“How did you get hurt?” Armin asked you.

“Eh, a Titan swatted me like a fly.”

“Guess I can see why the Corporal and Commander have faith in you.” Jean muttered.

The door opened as Levi stepped inside, he glared at all your visitors.

“Out!”

All scrambled as they left the room, leaving you and Levi in the room.

“Two weeks.” He muttered. “Two fucking weeks you made me worried you shitty brat!”

“Was it two weeks?” You asked.

He narrowed his eyes as you raised your hands in a surrender manner.

“Sorry.” You then muttered.  

“What happened?”

“Got swatted like a fly.”

“Tch.”

You said nothing as he opened the door. You then squealed as he picked you up, the blanket falling to the floor.

“L-Levi.” You spluttered.

“If you think I'm going to let you out of my sight you can think again.”

You said nothing and allowed him to carry you.

“Guess I did it huh.” You mumbled as you were gently placed on his bed.

“Hm.”

“Kept my promise.”

He gave you a smile, only you were the one to see him smile.

“...You haven't slept, haven't you?”

“How could I? You made me fucking worried.”

“Despite having faith in me.”

A grunt as lips were pressed against your forehead. He moved away from you as you shifted.

“Where you going?” You asked.

“Locking the door, we wouldn't want shitty glasses to interrupt now would we?”

You blushed slightly and smiled. You sighed as took in his scent that was on the cover, you had showered before you got bandaged up. The bed dipped but you said nothing, you watched as he took his boots and jacket off. You let out a yawn as he joined you in the cover.

You said nothing as he brought your head to his chest. You sighed in bliss as you took more of his scent in, you missed it and he missed your own scent, hell, he missed everything about you, the softness of your skin, your silky (h/c) hair and your voice, two weeks was too long for him.

A knock at the door caused Levi to twitch an eyebrow in irritation. You giggled softly and buried your face into his chest more.

“Is _____ in there?” A nurse's muffled voice asked.

“Yes and go away! You're ruining the moment!” He growled. “Don't bother sending anyone, I'll bring her to the infirmary tomorrow for a bandage change.”

“O-Okay.” She squeaked.

You smiled as there was faint footsteps.

“Was that necessary?” You asked amused.

“She was bothering us.”

You smiled and then sighed as you tried to shift a yawn but failed.

“Get some sleep, idiot.” Levi ordered.

“Same to you.” You retorted.

“Tch.”

Lips pressed against your own, you didn't protest, you were too tired to anyway and you didn't mind, you were used to the affection Levi gave you when nobody was about, it would have been hugs or quick kisses on the cheek but this was the first time for a proper kiss.

It didn't last long due to the fact both of you were tired.

“Once you're fully healed, we'll be very busy and it will involve this bed.”

You blushed madly and buried your face into his chest as he smirked in response.

Within moments you fell asleep and he could finally sleep that now you're safe and that you had kept your promise.
