You walked down the hall as the whispers reached your ears, you knew what they were, the rumours, the damn rumours your asshole of an ex spread. You ignored them, the rumours were that of you being an abuser at home, that you were a tyrant at home, hitting him when the reality was that it was the other way round, you hid the bruises, he had no bruises at all, you were an alcoholic, you never drank in your life, that you slept to get top of the class, you worked your ass off in training and that you were twelve when you started military training, so you called him a sick bastard when he made that one up, and that you were weak, and yet you have taken out over 50 Titans since you graduated.

The older cadets believed that, the younger ones? No, they find him full of shit with the rumours, he also said you were lazy on expedition, if that was true, why did you have scars on your body? Hell, you went head on into battle and went head on against Titans while your ex remained in the back and waited until they were dead and he took the credit.

His female fans believed them.

“Ugh, there's that whore.”

“Yeah, I can't believe she hit poor Daniel.”

“Poor Daniel my ass you little sluts!” You snarled. “What do you two bitches know! You know nothing!”

You walked off, leaving them stunned in their places, they glared at your retreating form.

The rumours had spread fast. You rubbed your temple but you said nothing at all. You carried on walking as the whispers reached your ears, you had gotten grumpy at times.

You made a beeline to head out the doors to leave HQ, you needed some time alone, the whispers still reached your ears as you gritted your teeth.

You sat under a tree as the leaves rustled in the gentle breeze. You looked ahead of you and just sat there, one of the scars went down your left eye, it was a miracle you didn't lose your sight.

That was from your ex, he was spreading these rumours and did he have proof? Of course not, he was a lying little shit. You leaned back and pressed your head to the tree and then closed your eyes. You opened them when you heard footsteps and didn't bother to see who it was.

“Here to rub those fucking rumours in my face are you?” You sneered.

“Tch, no.”

You looked to see the corporal was standing on your right side.

“Oh.” You mumbled. “Sorry sir, I thought you were someone else.”

“One of those shitty brats whispering some rumours?”

“...”

You looked ahead of you, staring at the wall that was a distance away, birds chirped in the air as the flowers blew in the wind. Your (h/c) hair also blew gently in the wind, something inside you snapped, you couldn't take the whispers.

“I can't fucking take it!” You hissed. “Those fucking cunts know nothing!”

Levi said nothing and, well, silently stood there and listened as you ranted your head off, you looked to be the type of person who needed to be heard without anyone judging.

“That little bitch Daniel is no better, why I dated that son of a bitch is beyond me!” You sneered. “He was nothing but an abusive fucker, a coward and a lazy fuck, he couldn't even stare at a Titan without pissing himself.”

Levi sneered at the memory, that was one memory he still remembers and he remembers you laughing so hard you had passed out and then Hanji hovering over you and your brother having a panic attack.

You leaned back. “The lazy part, he'll just stand there until all the Titans are dead and then take the credit, I had to push down the urge to plunge my sword into his worthless chest.”

You fell silent, you haven't told anyone about the abuse you endured at his hand, you just broke up with him yesterday. You said nothing. You blinked as your vision was blurred, you didn't think of it until Levi knelt down and wiped the tears away. You were surprised that you were crying, you hadn't cried since graduating training.

“Tch, don't let that little shit West get to you (Last), you're better than him, he's probably jealous you got top of the class and he didn't even come close to top ten, you worked hard, he didn't”

You said nothing as the tears continued to fall, he knew something was wrong.

“Take your jacket off.” He ordered.

You hesitated but did so, he noticed you winched slightly, as if you were in pain. He rolled your shirt sleeves up and the bruises appeared.

“Where did these come from?”

You didn't answer.

“Answer me and don't lie!”

You flinched. “West.” You whispered.

“Tch and he was spreading rumours that you abused him and yet it was the other way round, you're heading straight to the infirmary when we go back and you're going to show us any other injuries.”

“Us?”

“Me and the Commander.”

You bit your lip.

You sat on the bed, winching as a nurse gently put some stuff on your back to help it heal of the belt and whip marks, you had your shirt covering your front since your bra was undone so the nurse could get to your back properly.

“This looks nasty dear.” She told you softly.

“Hurts like a bitch.” You mumbled.

You heard the door open and then footsteps. You grunted and then hissed in pain.

“Sorry sweetie.”

“This is worse than getting swatted by a fucking Titan.” You grunted out.

“When I'm done I don't want you to do anything that will involve moving much and try not to sleep on your back.”

You said nothing and allowed the nurse to tend to your wound.

“Where the hell did West do these injuries!?” You heard Levi ask.

“At home.” You answered. “When we finish training and have an afternoon off he would drag me to the home, or, well, torture chamber as I call it.”

You gritted your teeth.

“You're getting removed with the chores you shared with him.”

You silently cheered at hearing that but then sighed. The nurse bandaged you up and she helped you place your bra and shirt on, once done she turned to face the two superiors.

“I recommend she doesn't do any training or chores for a while, I say until I'm satisfied she's fully healed.”

The two agreed and you got up from the bed. You gritted your teeth.

“We should show _____ her office, don't you agree?” Erwin said.

You turned to face them. “Wha? Why would I want an office for?”

Levi rolled his eyes. “For a squad leader to do their paperwork.”

You looked at them in disbelief. “M-Me!?”

The blonde smiled. “You show leadership skills, if I remember right, on the last expedition no cadets died under your leadership.”

You blushed but said nothing at all, you noticed Levi was plotting something.

“What are you up to?” You asked.

“That doesn't concern you at the moment.”

You blinked but said nothing.

You leaned back into your chair. “No seriously, what did you do?”

“Like I said, it doesn't concerned you at the moment.” Levi answered.

You said nothing, it had been an hour since you retreated to your new office, the shock was still sinking in that you're squad leader. You said nothing, you had watched Levi clean this room for one hour while you sat on your chair. You crossed your arms and leaned back into the cushion.

“Tell me.”

“Tch, fine, I told shitty glasses some information and she has told everyone.”

“So you've spread rumours?”

You noticed the tiny smirk.

You grinned. “You sneaky devil you.”

There were footsteps and the door barged open and you spotted your ex and two of his fangirls.

“Get those two bitches out of my office thank you very much.” You said.

They glared at you and stormed out the room.

The raven haired man picked up a cup on your desk and took a drink of his tea.

“You bitch!” Daniel growled.

“That's squad leader bitch to you.” You sneered.

Levi almost chocked on his tea but managed to swallow. You smirked slightly and noticed Daniel's shocked look.

“Don't believe I'm squad leader? Ask the commander.”

“And what's this rumour you're dating someone else!”

“Why should you care who I date! You're an abusive asshole!”

“Nobody doesn't have to know! And I'm the only man you need!”

“You're a piece of shit! I should gut you and throw your remains off wall Ro-mmmph!”

Your rambling was cut off when a pair of lips pressed against yours, you could taste the tea Levi just drank. You were stunned before you found yourself returning the kiss.

“Ahem!”

Daniel was ignored, he twitched and eyebrow but the reality sunk in, the rumours he spread were lies while the ones Hanji spread were true and he confirmed he did abuse you.

He watched as the two pulled away. He stiffened as Levi's gaze flickered to him while you were blushing madly.

“I'm going to give you your first and last warning, you come near and hurt her again and I will personally hunt you down, oh, by the way, the commander wishes to speak with you.” He told Daniel.

He fled, closing the door behind him. You sat up, pausing due to your back.

“Think he'll bother me again?” You asked after a few minutes of silence.

“Hmph! I doubt it, he's too much of a coward to do so, he ran when I threatened him.”

“I guess...”

After the truth was told, everyone who believed the rumours Daniel spread about you apologized to you after they found out the truth that he lied.

Your back was still healing but you found out you don't need training since you're squad leader. You sighed as your back throbbed and ached. Levi had made sure, being the good boyfriend he is, that you didn't overwork yourself in your current condition, you noticed you hadn't seen Daniel for a while now.

“Hey squad leader _____.”

You perked up and turned to face one of your squad members. “Kiki.” You greeted.

“Have you heard?”

“What?”

“Daniel West got kicked out of HQ by the commander himself after he saw the wounds he left when he abused you.”

You looked to the sky. “To be honest, I'm not surprised by that, I mean, the Survey Corps don't tolerate that kind of behaviour.”

She nodded. “Yeah.”

You walked off, giving a wave to the girl as she waved back, when your mother found out you broke off with Daniel she sent a letter expressing her anger that she was planning the wedding. You scoffed at that and tossed the letter into a fire, you had far more better things to do than marry, and besides, you have someone new...Even if Levi doesn't show affection in public.

You were pulled into another corridor and was spun around just in time to have lips press against yours.

“Maybe a warning next time.” You chuckled.

Levi scoffed but said nothing as he released you. You smiled.

“I take it you got told about West being kicked out.”

You nodded. “Kiki told me.”

“Little shit had it coming.”

He grabbed your wrist and took you out the corridor he pulled you in. you looked at him in confusion.

“We're going to the mess hall for a tea break.”

“Fair enough, I was going for a break from paperwork anyway.”

He hummed but said nothing and walked with you following, his hand never leaving your wrist and holding it gently.
